On June 29 the Hong Kong Marine Department announced three measures to ease cross-border yacht visits: upgraded electronic systems, relaxed berth requirements for visiting yachts, and streamlined qualification procedures for mainland captains. The department said the steps will simplify approvals and speed up clearance under existing overseas‑visitor rules, aiming to attract more yachts from the Greater Bay Area and overseas and to bolster Hong Kong’s position as an Asian yacht hub.
