According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi traveled to Oman to attend a meeting of the Joint Commission on the Strait of Hormuz. Officials from both sides discussed current issues concerning the Strait of Hormuz and exchanged views on the future management of the Strait of Hormuz under Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, as well as the sovereign rights of littoral states.
