At the close of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts rose, with lithium carbonate up nearly 5%, benzene up over 3%, and eggs, synthetic rubber, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), and styrene (EB) up over 2%. Asphalt and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) also rose nearly 2%. On the downside, platinum fell over 3%, gold, silver, and aluminum fell over 2%, nickel fell nearly 2%, and container shipping to Europe, rapeseed meal, alumina, aluminum alloys, and lead all fell over 1%.
