Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said NATO is openly assisting Ukraine to acquire weapons capable of destroying strategic targets deep inside Russia, a development she said raises the risk of direct NATO-Russia confrontation. She said a NATO tender issued mid‑month for €250,000 (about 1.93 mln yuan) explicitly sought solutions to “keep airports disabled,” prioritizing unmanned systems able to operate in environments with signal jamming and electronic warfare and to strike runways, fuel storage and ground-support facilities. Zakharova said the contract showed NATO was accelerating Ukraine’s integration into its command structure and defense-industrial base and treating Ukraine as a testbed for emerging military technologies.
