CNN cited maritime intelligence firm Kpler saying 40 vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, well below the pre-late‑February daily average of over 100. Of the 40, 16 used the Iran-side route; Kpler said 12 vessels had tracking signals switched off or transited via unknown routes. Before Israeli and US strikes on Iran in late February, daily transits exceeded 100.
