On June 30 senior Hamas official Tahir Nunu said a negotiating delegation led by
West Bank leader Zaher Jabarin arrived in Cairo to meet Egyptian officials and
mediators to advance implementation of the Gaza ceasefire. Nunu said the
delegation’s priorities are halting Israel’s escalating military operations and
targeted strikes in Gaza, ensuring Israel allows full entry of essential
supplies, and progressing other ceasefire terms. Talks will also review a
second-stage roadmap drafted with Gaza Peace Committee senior representative
Mladenov, including proposals for a Palestinian technical committee, entry of
international forces into Gaza, and a full Israeli withdrawal.
