China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and seven other ministries issued implementation guidance to accelerate high‑quality development of the industrial internet by deepening integration with artificial intelligence. The guidance backs enterprises and research institutes leveraging the industrial internet’s pervasive connectivity and data aggregation to train both industry‑scale large models and scenario‑specific small models, and to develop model interconnection interfaces to boost collaborative efficiency. It promotes deployment of generative design, human‑machine interaction and production‑network optimization applications, and calls for faster rollout of industrial intelligent agents to strengthen industrial systems’ sensing, decision‑making and execution across design, pilot testing, production, service and operations.
