Iran released a video on the evening of July 1 in which Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said reports that IAEA inspectors would be allowed into bombed nuclear facilities are incorrect. He said Iran’s parliament passed a law, approved by the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), prohibiting any entry into destroyed or damaged nuclear sites. Ghalibaf said the IAEA may only access two locations — the Bushehr nuclear power plant and the Tehran research reactor — and Iran will not grant privileges beyond the SNSC’s authorized scope.
