The U.S. has told Iran it will reject any change to the current status quo in
the Strait of Hormuz and will treat such moves as a breach of the agreement.
Washington says Iran’s conduct in the strait is the first test of its
commitments; any progress on frozen Iranian funds will be conditional on Iran’s
compliance.
