At the morning open, China’s most-active futures were mostly higher. Palladium
rose more than 4%; lithium carbonate and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) gained
over 3%; platinum, Shanghai silver and methanol climbed over 2%; bitumen and
Shanghai gold were up about 2%. On the downside, aluminum and polysilicon fell
nearly 2%, iron ore dropped more than 1% and palm oil was down about 1%.
