DJI has filed patent-infringement lawsuits in multiple Chinese courts against
Yingshi’s Luna series, accusing the product line of violating several long-held
invention patents covering handheld gimbals and control methods, gimbal-based
shooting methods and storage media, detachable controllers, and related control
schemes. The case accepted by the Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court is
scheduled for trial on Aug. 3. On June 28 (U.S. time) both DJI and Yingshi filed
notices of dismissal in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of
Texas, withdrawing earlier patent suits and counterclaims.
