The U.S. Department of Justice said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche wrote to International Criminal Court President Tomoko Akane rejecting ICC jurisdiction over U.S. persons. The DOJ reiterated the U.S. is not a party to the Rome Statute and has never recognized ICC jurisdiction, and said it will not cooperate with ICC investigations, inquiries, summonses or prosecutions nor extradite or surrender any U.S. personnel to the court.
