A-share market closed with major indexes oscillating. Shanghai Composite rose
0.37%, Shenzhen Composite Index gained 0.64%, ChiNext Index closed up 0.07%
after intraday gains of more than 2%. Turnover across Shanghai and Shenzhen
exceeded 3.1 trillion yuan and more than 3,500 stocks advanced. Market rotation
was fast: robotics names rallied with multiple daily limit-ups, precious metals
extended yesterday’s gains and power-grid equipment strengthened in the
afternoon. Semiconductor materials underperformed all day—electronic specialty
gases and photoresists led declines—and fluorochemicals were the biggest drag on
the broader market.
