Indeed economist Callam Pickering said Australian job postings were relatively
stable over the past year but hiring demand could ease through the remainder of
the year amid ongoing economic headwinds. He described the labor market as
neither strong nor dire and said recent signs of strain have made employment a
growing consideration for the RBA. Pickering added those cracks are not
sufficient to prevent the RBA from raising rates again.
