Anhui provincial flood-control headquarters activated a level-4 flood and
typhoon emergency response at 16:00 on July 6 for Huaibei, Bozhou, Suzhou,
Bengbu, Fuyang and Huainan, and maintained level-4 response for Lu'an and
Anqing. Meteorological forecast: remnants of Typhoon Maysak and the southwest
monsoon will bring heavy rain from the night of July 6 through July 7 to areas
north of the Huai River and the Dabie Mountains—70–90mm, locally 120–180mm—with
short-duration intense rainfall (max hourly 50–70mm) and convective storms
including thunderstorm gusts.
