At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with propylene, styrene (EB), polypropylene, polypropylene monthly average, plastics, and plastics monthly average all rising by over 2%. Stainless steel (SS) rose nearly 2%, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) rose over 1%. On the downside, container shipping to Europe fell over 5%, soda ash fell over 3%, red dates fell nearly 3%, glass, palladium, and Shanghai silver fell over 2%, platinum fell nearly 2%, and live hogs fell over 1%.
