XPeng began staff-only Robotaxi trials on July 9 at its first all-hands for the
business, the company said. Founder He Xiaopeng said Robotaxi marks a strategic
move from new-energy vehicles toward 'robot cars' and is central to XPeng's
physical-AI roadmap. XPeng will concentrate on vehicle platforms,
autonomous-driving software and AI capabilities and aims to become a global
Robotaxi hardware-and-software provider by exporting full solution packages to
partners to accelerate overseas deployment.
