According to Nikkei, Tokyo Electron is working to shorten the turnaround time for its semiconductor manufacturing equipment after delivery to customers. The report states that Tokyo Electron President Toshiki Kawai said in an interview, "We hope to halve the equipment start-up time, starting with new models," and added that the company will focus on implementing measures such as robotics in its production processes. Kawai also stated that the company is currently "increasing its monthly order volume," and that almost all of its major customers plan to build new production facilities within the next two years. Tokyo Electron's Japanese stock showed signs of buying today.
