The China Meteorological Administration at 0600 on July 9 issued a yellow typhoon warning. At 0500 on July 9 the center of Typhoon Bavi, classified as a super typhoon, was about 1,210 km southeast of Keelung, Taiwan, with maximum winds near the center of 55 m/s and central pressure of 930 hPa. Wind‑circle radii: 7‑level 350–500 km, 10‑level 280–300 km, 12‑level 100–150 km. Bavi is moving northwest at 15–20 km/h and is forecast to approach Taiwan’s northeast coast, making landfall or brushing northern Taiwan on July 11 daytime as a super/strong typhoon (14–16 level; 45–52 m/s), then move toward the coast between central Fujian and southern Zhejiang while gradually weakening.
