Congo-Brazzaville officials confirmed the Bougou‑Massi potash project, developed
with investment from Shenzhen Luyuan Mining, is expected to restart commercial
potash production in early 2027. The minister of mines and geology said trial
production is planned for end-2026 with full commercial output in Q1 2027. The
Kouilou province project targets first-phase KCl output of 600,000 t/yr,
expandable to 2.0 mln t/yr, and includes construction of a dedicated maritime
export terminal. Officials say Bougou‑Massi is the fastest-progressing potash
project among current plans in Congo-Brazzaville.
