A-shares closed sharply higher as a broad semiconductor rally powered gains. Shanghai Composite +1.65%, Shenzhen Composite +3.07%, ChiNext +4.49%, Sci‑Tech Innovation 50 +8.41%. Turnover on Shanghai/Shenzhen totaled 2.91 trillion yuan, rising by more than 350 billion yuan vs. the prior session; roughly 2,500 stocks advanced. Memory chips, advanced packaging and lithography names led; Aisen, Youyan Silicon, Shenkeda, Tianshan Electronics and multiple others hit daily limits, while JCET, Huatian Technology, GigaDevice, Tongfu Microelectronics and Youyan New Materials also posted limit-ups. SMIC rose nearly 14% intraday, temporarily overtaking Kweichow Moutai in market value and hitting a record high. Oil & gas briefly rallied then eased. Lithium miners extended losses — Rongjie hit limit-down; TTANQT LITHIUM, Shengxin Lithium Energy and Yongshan Lithium were among the laggards. Coal stocks pulled back, led by Haohua Energy, Jinkong Coal and Xinjie Energy. Tourism, hotels, energy metals, dairy, coal mining & processing, airport & shipping and baijiu sectors underperformed.
