Multiple sources familiar with the matter revealed that Meta Platforms is testing a prototype AI glasses called "Super Sensing." This device will use cameras and audio recording capabilities to capture every moment of the wearer, marking Meta's further foray into the controversial "all-seeing, all-hearing" smart device market. Sources indicate that the product can continuously record audio and take photos every few seconds. Users can then use AI to search for information they have seen or heard, and even recall events from the day. However, these glasses have also sparked internal discussions within Meta about how to address new privacy challenges. Currently, Meta's AI smart glasses illuminate an LED indicator in the corner of the frame when taking photos or videos. However, according to multiple sources, Meta executives currently plan to turn off this LED indicator when "Super Sensing" is enabled. However, several sources indicated that this plan could still change. Sources also stated that Meta may add these "Super Sensing" features to its existing smart glasses products via software updates.
