China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and Hong Kong’s Securities and
Futures Commission (SFC) held their 17th enforcement cooperation meeting under
the regular enforcement-leader consultation mechanism. Officials exchanged
updates on recent enforcement activity, cross-border violation trends and cases
handling, reviewed cross-border cooperation outcomes and progress on major
cases, and discussed combating new forms of cross-border misconduct and
strengthening intelligence sharing. Both sides agreed to explore further
cooperation within the existing framework to boost cross-border enforcement
effectiveness and deterrence. The CSRC said it will continue to implement
directives from the central economic work conference, the national financial
system work meeting and the new "Guo Jiu Tiao" deployment, and will work with
the SFC to refine cross-border enforcement mechanisms and strictly prosecute
cross-border violations to help maintain stability in the two markets.
