Guangdong’s draft provincial information and communications plan (15th Five-Year Plan) calls for orderly large-scale deployment of 5G-A in Pearl River Delta cities with continuous hotspot coverage and active participation in MIIT 6G trials, aiming to take an early lead in 6G construction and commercial roll-out. The draft seeks to expand 10G PON pilots, accelerate campus network upgrades and scale deployment of new fiber types including G.654E, with a specific push for large-scale deployment of 800G optical transmission systems and all-optical cross-connect equipment to build a high-bandwidth, low-latency, high-reliability all-optical bearer. It also calls for deepening IPv6 single‑stack rollout and actively deploying a quantum communication backbone, advancing 400G-plus high-speed quantum channels.

Nanya Technology said at an investor briefing that next‑generation AI acceleration platforms including Rubin Ultra and TPA are lifting HBM bit demand and crowding out traditional DRAM capacity, and that global DRAM should remain supply‑deficit through 2028. The company forecasts capacity will grow about 69% in 2026–2028. A new 5A fab will deploy 1C/1D nm process nodes and add roughly 45,000 wafers of capacity, improving wafer‑bit output. Nanya expects bit shipments to rise 8% in 2027 and 53% in 2028 to 6.75 billion Gb and 10.33 billion Gb, respectively. It said Q2 average per‑Gb prices have not fully reflected recent contract price increases and timing of renewals with large long‑term customers, leaving upside risk to Q3 ASP.
