On July 12, the Office of the National Commission for Disaster Reduction, the
Ministry of Emergency Management and the State Grain and Material Reserves
Administration dispatched 70,000 central disaster-relief items — folding beds,
towels and blankets, summer quilts, mattresses and household emergency kits — to
Zhejiang, Tianjin and Anhui to support emergency evacuations, temporary
resettlement and relief operations linked to Typhoon Bavi.
