Pakistan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister said in a phone call with
Iranian foreign minister Araghchi on the 12th that parties should adhere to the
Islamabad memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, pursue
de‑escalation and exercise restraint to avoid further escalation. He said
dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable route to lasting regional
stability and reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to play a constructive role in
promoting and maintaining regional peace.
