China's National Meteorological Center says Typhoon Haishen, the season's 11th,
formed on the morning of the 13th in the northwest Pacific. At 08:00 its center
was about 930 km SSW of Guam (10.6°N, 136.7°E); maximum sustained winds near the
center 18 m/s, central pressure 998 hPa, radius of 7-level winds 150–180 km. It
is moving NW to NNW at 5–10 km/h with little expected change in intensity and is
not expected to affect Chinese waters.
