An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stated that Qatar, Oman, and Pakistan have continued to contribute to mediation efforts between the United States and Iran in recent days. He also noted that Tehran maintains contact with these three countries, and that "negotiations are ongoing." Analyst Justin Low points out that this last point at least indicates that both sides still have hope of resuming negotiations on the nuclear/uranium issue at some point in the future. At least for now, negotiations do not seem to be taking place immediately. However, there is still a glimmer of hope.
