The General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the
State Council issued opinions setting long‑term targets to strengthen China’s
natural resource asset management. By 2030 the plan aims to clarify management
responsibilities, compile clear natural‑resource asset inventories, strengthen
protection of resource assets and national land space, boost asset‑allocation
efficiency and tighten assessment and supervision. By 2035 the authorities seek
a fully established, smoothly operating, system‑wide natural‑resource asset
management framework and an across‑the‑board improvement in management
standards.
