Reports indicate that former British Prime Minister and successor Andy Burnham will review a scheme aimed at helping first-time homebuyers afford their properties. This news has boosted the UK residential developer index by 2.3%, with Persimmon, a residential developer, rising 3.3%, ranking among the top gainers in the FTSE 100 index.
