The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated: "Everyone in our region understands that maintaining a nation's survival requires the necessary capacity for self-defense. Whenever a country faces attack or occupation, all its citizens have the right to defend their homes and territory. The Lebanese people understand better than anyone the value of resistance in defending Lebanon's sovereignty, dignity, and national independence."
