Mehr news agency reported explosions near Bandar Abbas port and Qeshm Island,
with blasts occurring some distance from the city and apparently linked to
Bandar Abbas' western coast. Authorities said they cannot rule out exchanges of
fire in Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz waters. Hormozgan provincial
government said there were no reports of civilian casualties or damage to
residential or commercial infrastructure from the latest U.S. strikes on Bandar
Abbas and Qeshm. U.S. strikes on the southern coast over recent nights have
killed some fishermen and local defenders and caused significant losses to
fishermen in Bandar Abbas and Sirik.
