According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, the Council for Price Setting and Support Policies of Basic Agricultural Products of Iran approved the lifting of the customs clearance ban on harvest season rice, announcing that the customs clearance restrictions on this product from August 1 to the end of November will no longer be in effect. The "harvest season rice customs clearance ban" refers to a temporary trade policy implemented by the Iranian government to protect the interests of its farmers, prohibiting or restricting the import of rice into customs and the processing of customs clearance procedures during the country's rice harvest season.
