IRNA reports Iran’s Council for Determining Prices and Support Policy for Basic Agricultural Products approved canceling the harvest-season rice customs-clearance ban; clearance restrictions scheduled for Aug 1–Nov 30 will no longer be enforced. The ban was a temporary measure to protect domestic farmers by prohibiting or restricting rice imports during the country’s harvest season.
