On July 13 Midea Group said persistent extreme heat across Europe has driven a demand surge, with nearly 200,000 new air‑conditioner units ordered in the past month. Deliveries are being shipped in bulk to Europe from Midea’s Guangzhou Nansha and Wuhu AC plants. Midea also said its PortaSplit split portable air‑conditioner has received over 160,000 new orders since June and is being fulfilled from the Guangzhou Nansha plant.
