[Saudi Arabia Claims Responding to Houthi Missiles] The Saudi-led coalition stated on the evening of July 13th local time that its air defense system responded to ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi rebels in Yemen towards southern Saudi Arabia. Earlier that day, Sana'a International Airport, controlled by the Houthis, was attacked. The Houthis accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out the airstrike and vowed retaliation. The Yemeni Ministry of Defense stated that the airstrike on Sana'a International Airport was to prevent a high-level Houthi delegation from returning home on an Iranian plane after attending the memorial service for Iran's assassinated Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
