CENTCOM said it completed a new round of strikes on Iran at 10:15 p.m. ET on July 13 after a five-hour operation, hitting multiple military targets inside Iran — Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa island and Bandar Abbas — aimed at degrading Iran’s ability to attack merchant shipping. CENTCOM said forces used precision-guided munitions to strike coastal defenses, missiles and drone sites and maritime warfighting capabilities. More than 50,000 U.S. service members are deployed in the Middle East.
