Industry data on Tuesday from Counterpoint Research showed Samsung Electronics
reclaimed the global smartphone shipments lead in Q2 (Apr–Jun), with a 24% share
versus Apple’s 20%. Counterpoint attributed Samsung’s gain to strong Galaxy S26
sales, relatively modest price adjustments in key markets including India and
the Middle East, and aggressive promotions. In Q1 Counterpoint had shown Apple
leading with a 21% share to Samsung’s 20%.
