Ibrahim Aziz, chair of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Affairs
Policy Committee, said on the 14th that parliament formally submitted a bill on
the night of the 13th titled Strategic Action for Security and Sustainable
Process of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. Aziz said the filing
coincided with a US drone being shot down and said lawmakers remain determined
to defend Iran’s red lines, particularly on management of the Strait of Hormuz;
he added the bill is a first step and further measures are imminent.
