SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son said global AI infrastructure will require $5 trillion a year by 2040 to support expanded data centers, power supply and humanoid-robot deployment, shifting current human-centered work models toward a new model. He added that as AI advances toward artificial superintelligence (ASI), the revenues generated will justify the large expenditures. "AI will fundamentally change our lives — and that change will be profitable," Son said.
