The State Council Information Office said at a press briefing that China has
completed registration of its first batch of natural resource assets as part of
Efforts to improve the natural resource asset management system. Registrations cover
more than 3,800 key areas — including five national parks, the Yangtze mainstem
(Sichuan section) and Taihu — totaling about 377,000 sq km.
