Iran's foreign ministry condemned the UK government's decision under its domestic security law to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a state-supported hostile threat, calling the move baseless, irresponsible and a violation of core principles of international law, including state sovereignty and non-interference. It accused Britain of a long history of interference and colonial policy, said the UK acted as an accomplice and direct participant in recent US–Israeli military aggression against Iran — a role it said the NATO secretary-general acknowledged — and said Britain therefore lacks moral authority to level such charges.
