GCL Integration’s independently developed flexible
crystalline-silicon–perovskite tandem solar cell was certified by the China
Photovoltaic Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center (CPVT) at 33.44%
power conversion efficiency. The ultra‑thin, bendable device withstands limited
flexing without fracturing and delivering device‑level specific power above 2,000
W/kg, giving a clear generation‑per‑mass advantage versus conventional rigid
cells and ranking it among industry leaders. The company says the materials and
cell‑structure advances target high-efficiency PV applications in satellites,
space stations and deep‑space exploration.
