high and roughly 390 MW above last year's peak. Sustained heat since late June
and the city's first red high-temperature warning on July 14 drove heavy
air-conditioning use; State Grid Chongqing Electric Power said it had
pre-deployed and implemented multiple measures to meet summer electricity
demand.
