Apple filed a trade-secret lawsuit alleging OpenAI used former Apple employees
to obtain internal materials for an AI hardware product, saying OpenAI’s
hardware team induced applicants to bring Apple documents and helped candidates
evade company security checks. Apple also says a former iPhone engineer who left
for OpenAI this year illegally took engineering demo slides and other internal
files. OpenAI said it has found "no evidence" supporting the claims, emphasized
respect for fair competition and talent mobility, and said it is focused on
developing its own technology.
