China's National Bureau of Statistics said the labor market was broadly stable.
1H national urban surveyed unemployment rate averaged 5.2%. In June the urban
surveyed unemployment rate was 5.0%, down 0.1 ppt MoM; the rate in 31 major
cities was 5.0%, down 0.1 ppt MoM. Urban surveyed unemployment was 5.0% for
local household-registered workers, 4.9% for migrant household-registered
workers and 4.8% for migrant agricultural household-registered workers. Average
weekly hours worked by enterprise employees stood at 48.2 hours. At end-Q2, the
number of rural migrant workers working away from home was 192.27 mln, up 0.5%
YoY.
