PBOC said end-June total domestic- and foreign-currency loan outstanding was
286.43 tln yuan, up 5.1% YoY. Month-end RMB loan balance was 282.63 tln yuan, up
5.2% YoY; RMB loans rose 10.72 tln yuan in 1H. By sector: household loans fell
366.8 bln yuan (short-term -588.1 bln, long-term +221.2 bln). Corporate and
public institution loans rose 11.13 tln yuan (short-term +4.59 tln, long-term
+5.55 tln); bill financing +814.3 bln. Non-bank financial institution loans fell
422.3 bln yuan.
