The National Disaster Reduction and Relief Committee activated a national
level-4 emergency response after Typhoon Bavi and heavy rain hit Jilin. The
National Development and Reform Commission urgently allocated 30 mln yuan of
central budgetary investment to Jilin for post-disaster emergency recovery,
targeted at repairing damaged roads, water-conservancy infrastructure and
restoring public-service facilities including schools and hospitals to resume
normal production and daily life.
