Patrick Munnelly of Tickmill said in a report that if oil stabilizes and
investors pare back Fed rate‑hike expectations, the US tech sector could
benefit. He said recent oil gains had pushed market pricing toward higher odds
of Fed hikes in the coming months and dented demand for risk assets. He
cautioned that a further rise in energy prices would heighten inf concerns and
weaken risk appetite.
