Zeidon Alkinani, founder of the Arab Perspectives Institute, said Gulf states under attack have faced growing pressure to pick sides since US and Israeli military action against Iran began. He noted Gulf Cooperation Council states strongly opposed the Feb. 28 US-Israeli operation but continue to bear the brunt of Iranian drone and missile strikes. Asked whether he had spoken with President Trump, Fed chair Kevin Warsh said "no comment" and declined to disclose details. He said Trump has not tried to influence the Fed’s policy execution and that, if the president attempted to influence policy, he would remain unfazed and focus on his duties. Warsh added that calls from the president or the banking chair committee would not make him uncomfortable and that the president has never asked him to do anything improper — and he would refuse if asked.
